Acts 7 Forgiveness can be as foreboding as climbing Mount Everest, as painful as amputation without sedation and as un-natural as water running up hill. This is a story about two people who experienced their finest hour. One person is a contemporary saint, my mother, the other a 2000 year old Biblical saint by the name of Stephen. Everything within me screamed, "Don't phone your mother." But I had to. "Hello Mom. I hope you're feeling strong, because I have some sad news for you. Brent (not his real name) is leaving Joyce (not her real name) and stealing another man's wife. What followed was one of those eternal, electronic pauses. |
