NFL Super Bowl Champions (1 Timothy 6:11-17) show us how to become rich and famous. What we desperately need are champions who will light our paths and inspire us to be come majestic trees of righteousness who finish life well.

Today is Super Bowl Sunday and tens of millions of people will watch two teams battle for the title of Super Bowl Champions. I'm pulling for the St. Louis Rams because their quarterback Kurt Warner is a gridiron champion and also a champion for Jesus. Wow!! He doesn't wimp out on Jesus, he lets his little light shine.

The world has no lack of champions, names like Tiger Woods and Ophra Winfree are household names around the world. These are contemporary champions who can tell us how to become rich and famous. But we need champions who light our paths and inspire us to become majestic trees of righteousness who finish life well.
